ZIDLE, JOAN MARIE
January 27, 1932 ~ February 9, 2014
It is with deep sadness to
announce that Joan passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014 following
a long and difficult struggle with various illnesses. She
is survived by her loving
husband of 41 years,
Seymour, her daughter
Lynn Fowler, sons David Fowler and Mark Fowler,
both of Winnipeg, MB, son Kenneth Fowler of Lillooet, BC, grandchildren Kevin and Meaghan Fowler of Winnipeg, MB, grandchildren James (Tessa) Lai of Redmond City,
CA and Dana Lai of Vancouver, BC, as well as many
nephews and nieces. She will also be greatly missed by
her sister-in-law Sandra Burke of Amherst, NS, and
Sheina Zidel and Carole Zidle of Montreal, QC. Joan is
predeceased by her parents, Leo and Effie Burke, her
brother Harold of Amherst, NS, her brother-in-laws Carl
Zidel and Buddy Zidle of Montreal, as well as her nephew Hal Burke, and great-niece Julia Zidel. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 9R5. There will be a Celebration of her Life on Saturday,
February 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna.
