Passed away very peacefully on October 18, 2008 with his wife and family at his bedside. John is survived by his loving family: wife, Tamara of 60 years; daughters, Nina (Daryl) Evans, Evelyn (Mark) Steves, Ruth Hrycak, Faith (Brian) Vass, Sharon (Al) Pierce, Linda (Brad) Osborne, Debra (Wes) Maley and Joanne (Gary) Edwards; grandchildren, Lisa, Shayla, Jennifer, Trevor, Joseph, Joshua, Tamara, BrianDavid, Jay, Alysha, Chantelle, Kadin, Kieran, Amanda, Rachel, Jonathon, Rochelle and Brett; great grandchildren, Alicia and Savanah. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Guisachan Baptist Fellowship Church, 2210 Stillingfleet Road, Kelowna with the Reverend Paul Baumbeck officiating. Public viewing, for those who wish will be Friday from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm at the church. Interment will follow at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
