passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the age of 82. Survived by his loving wife Sophie of 59 years, three sons, Gary (Beverley) Semchuk of Prince Albert, SK, Wes (Michele) Semchuk of Kelowna, Zane Semchuk of Kelowna, six grandchildren, Lori (Richard) Dyok, Linsey (Wes) Hermann, Brendan Semchuk, Zachery Semchuk, Zoey Semchuk, Zabrina Semchuk, his great grandchildren, Brianna and Ashlyn Dyok, Julianna and Lauryn Hermann, Keegan Wolfe, his brother William (Mary) Semchuk of Regina, SK, his sisters Elsie Burton of Windsor, ON, and Stella Fidyk of Prince Albert, SK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Nellie and John Semchuk, his brothers Peter, Walter, Steve and Harry, his sisters Nellie Kroetch, Doris Fudger, Lillian Garthewaite, Mary Paramchuk and Anne Ruzdjen. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the nurses on the 4th floor at Kelowna General Hospital as well as Dr. Bobyn, Dr. Rolf and Dr. Hagler. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. Interment to follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
