JOSEFA (Yola) MATSON Yola was born in Munich, Germany March 23, 1916 and passed away on Sept. 6, 2009 having lived out her life independently in her own home. As a beautiful young woman with excellent riding skills she earned the lead role in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2 week Oktoberfest held in Bavaria, Germany. She proudly rode magnificent horses in parades and spoke at ceremonies. Her love of travel led her career as a hairdresser/esthetician to working on board cruise ships visiting many countries. Yola als enjoyed working as a nursing aid and secretary. In her later years, Yola enjoyed going out for dinners, eating fine german baked goods and playing with the love of her life, her cat, Shushu.
She is pre-deceased by her husband, Harold Matson. She leaves behind 2 nephews in Germany, Eberhard & Helmut Scherer. No ceremony by request. Donations to SPCA
