CLARK-MARLOW, KEITH GREGORY
R.C.A.F., Retired (Captain); Shaw Cable, Retired
July 1925 ~ September 2013
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our father. Keith passed away peacefully at his home in Kelowna on September 5, 2013.
He is survived by his children: Karen
Clark-Marlow, Melody Clark-Marlow
(Peter Samuels), Vandy (Dave) Piwnuik,
Bradford Clark-Marlow (Tammy Palsson), and Penelope (Arthur) Reid; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin brother Grant; brothers Arthur and Bernard; sister Dianne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his spouse Irene Veronica Clark-Marlow and his son, Keith Gregory Clark-Marlow Jr.
Keith was one of few remaining WW II veterans; he received a number of decorations for outstanding service. He enjoyed a long and successful career in the Royal Canadian Air Force, within the Telecommunications and Training Divisions, followed by a second career at Shaw Cable. He watched reruns of M.A.S.H. nearly everyday and was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the piano, accordion, trumpet harmonica and organ. Throughout his Air Force career he participated in Air Force Command Bands. He also enjoyed sports, especially hockey and swimming. Family gatherings were very important to him. Some of our friends had lost their parents years earlier and he became the ‘Community Dad’. He was one of the best joke-tellers around. Keith told
original jokes, read the newspapers from cover to cover and played Crossword scratch tickets up until the day
before he passed away. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Dad, you were so darn cute!
At our father’s request, there will be no funeral service. To leave condolences for Keith’s family, please visit his obituary page at www.valleyviewfuneralhome.com.
