GROHOLSKI, KRYSTYNA

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”

On November 26, 2014 at 11:30 pm an angel was taken to heaven.  With family at her side, Krystyna Groholski (n: Drzewiecki) peacefully passed away to be with her Dad.  She bravely fought cancer for nine months. Her courage, hope, and exuberance for life, left all those around her inspired and in awe of her positivity. Krystyna was a ray of light whose brilliance only faded as she took her last breath.

Krystyna was predeceased by her father, Sylwester Drzewiecki and is survived by her mother, Janina Drzewiecki.  She leaves behind her loving husband Bob of 47 years, her three daughters Miki (Brook), Jasia and Angie(Travis), her grandchildren Kinsley, Macy, Piper and William, siblings, Wanda, Daiena, Mary, Richard and Roman, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone at The Cancer Clinic and The Cancer Lodge in Kelowna, as well as everyone at KGH who cared for her, and a special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors on 6 West.

A funeral Mass will be held in Kelowna at Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday, December 6, at 1:00 pm.

“In the end it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.”
