Laurette Marie Gabrielle Kellaway (Laura) passed away on Monday September 21st at 7pm in Kelowna, BC at the age of 85. Laurette will be lovingly remembered by: brothers Real

DerGrampel, daughter Cynthia Kellaway (John Tautu Ellis), son Hidetaka Yamauchi, grandkids: Desiree Oliphant, Shawn (Pam) Davids, Heremoana Ellis, Sandy Germain, great grandkids; Katrina, Matthew, Trinity, & Hanna, Jack, Grace, Tom, Kim, Kevin & Timiona, her great, great grandson Rylan & numerous nieces and nephews. Laurette was predeceased by her loving husband William John Kellaway (2013), Conrad Chouinard (father), and Cecile Pilon (mother), brothers ;
Lionel, Lucien, Leo, Ernest, and Emile, sisters, Theresa,
Rita, Lucille, Viviane. Laurette was a lifelong member of the CWL and volunteered for Cancer and dedicated over 50 years to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, one of the main founders of the Kelowna Sister City Kasugai Association. She was also involved with the Legion and her husband’s pipe bands. She enjoyed many activities including skating and curling and was a real strong pioneer women who loved to spend time outdoors with her family and beloved pets. Some of her travels included Hawaii, Australia, Florida,
Japan, Holland, Tahiti and her islands and Las Vegas. A Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 29 at St. Pius X Catholic Church,1077 Fuller Ave, Kelowna, BC with Father Francis officiating. Memorial Donations in Laurette’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society would be much appreciated.
