LILLIAN ADA EILEEN MULLIN

AUGUST 3, 1922 – MAY 27, 2014

Eileen died peacefully, loved by her daughters Lori and Liz, her son in laws, Ken, Ken and Johnny, and her special ‘other’ daughters, Bert, Karen and Joyce. Also survived by niece Sandra (Bill) and nephew Rick (Harriet) of BC, John (Gail), Barbara (Byron) and numerous other nieces and nephews in Ontario. Mom lived a full life, from her younger years in south east Ontario, to raising her three girls, first in Abbotsford, BC then in Whitehorse, Yukon, to her retirement years in Kelowna, BC. Mom served with pride in the Canadian Air Force during the second world war. At the age of 50 she returned to school to complete her grade 12 and became a licensed practical nurse. She loved her years working in the hospital in Whitehorse. After moving to Kelowna at the ripe young age of 71 she decided she should finally learn to swim and took swimming lessons at the Kelowna Family Y where she enjoyed swimming with her special friend Helen. Mom was sadly predeceased by her oldest daughter Cynthia, her husband Michael as well as her sister and 5 brothers. At Mom’s request, there will be no service. The family will hold a Celebration of her wonderful life at a future date. For their compassionate care of Mom and of us, we are forever grateful to Dr. Tereposky, Community Health Nurse Deanna, community care workers and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Hospice House. Should people be inclined, we encourage donations to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care or the Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2Z6.
