GROCHOWICH, Loretta "Lori"
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Loretta “Lori” May Grochowich, on February 16, 2017, at Kelowna General Hospital. Lori was born on May 24, 1939, at Elk Point, Alberta, the daughter of Harry and Mary Cinnamon. She was united in marriage to Walter Grochowich on December 17,1954 in Yellowknife, N.W.T. Walter preceded her death on February 17, 1999. They were married for 44 years. Lori is survived by her children: Garry (Jan), Ken (Mary), Larry (Cindy), Janice (Barry), Crystal (Dwayne), Carrie (Gord); 8 loving grandchildren: Garry Jr. (Nikki), Rynanne (Lawrence), Christina (Rick), Kyle, Trevor (Tayla), Tim (Nicole), Samantha (Rob), Crystal (Chris) and 15 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Dick) Cinnamon, and numerous nephew and nieces. Lori enjoyed visiting with family and friends and the coffee pot was always on. She spent endless hours researching genealogy and was a member of the local Genealogical Society. In her later years she got the travel bug, with her travels taking her to destinations as far as Alaska, Eastern Canada, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Mexico and the Arctic Circle. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, reading and building puzzles.
The family wishes to thank our many relatives and friends for their support during this difficult time and invite you to join us on March 18, 2017, with the interment to take place at 10:00 a.m., Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery,
