PETERS, LYDIA
Lydia Peters passed away peacefully at the age of 89
on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Village at Smith
Creek Care Home, West Kelowna, BC.Lydia was a devout follower of Jesus, loving wife, caring mother, fun grandmother and friend. She enjoyed being with her family and servin in her church as long as she was able. She is remembered by everyone who knew her as a very joyful and loving person. Lydia was born in Rosenort, Ukraine on
October 22, 1925 to Cornelius and Catherina Dyck.
She is survived by John John, her husband of 64 years; her four children, Len (Mary Ann), Ralph (Carrie), Ron (Shelley) and Janet (John); 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Erna); sister, Martha (Ben); many
nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. A final viewing will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd., Kelowna, BC V1Y 5V8, followed by the Interment for family and close friends at 2:45 pm Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, 1991 Bernard Ave,Kelowna, BC V1Y 9V7. The Celebration of Life service
will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Emmanuel Church, 2600 Hebert Road, West Kelowna BC, V4T 2J6.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian ministries active in Israel and/or to CLIMB Intercultural Society – Got Game.
