Marguerite “Peggy”
Norton passed away
on April 4, 2013
at West Kelowna, BC
at the age of 87 years.
Peggy will be lovingly
remembered by her
children: Lynne (Hardy) Baxter, Jack (Wendy)
Norton, and Shelley
(John) Alessio; nine
grandchildren: and eleven great grandchildren.
She was sadly predeceased by her husband of more
than 65 years, Denis in 2011.
Peggy was born and raised in Calgary, and worked in a dairy there where she met her husband Denis. They moved to Kelowna in 1970. Peggy volunteered with the schools’ one to one reading program, and enjoyed camping and
going to the spa. She and Denis were avid bowlers for
many years.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the caring
and compassionate staff at the Village at Smith Creek,
who cared for her for the past 5 years.
In honouring Peggy’s wishes, there will not be a formal
service. She will be cremated, and her ashes interred later this spring at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
