WINKEL, MARIA MARGARETE
Went to be with her Lord peacefully in her sleep on March 29, 2013 at
the age of 86 after a long illness. She leaves behind her husband Heinz of 53 years and many friends who remember her as a kind and compassionate person who had a great heart for all people she met. She came to Canada with her
husband in 1975 where they
managed the Brookside Residence with love and patience for the residents for many years. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We would like to thank Dr. Steinruck, the staff and nurses at
Kelowna General Hospital and Hospice House for their
compassionate care given to Margarete. A funeral service will be held on April 4, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Springfield
Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chain of
Love Homes, Brazil or B.C. Teen Challenge.
