VIOLA, Maria Rosina
October 1, 1924 – March 10, 2017
Maria Rosina Viola (Rosa) passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 10, 2017 at Village at Mill Creek in Kelowna, BC at the age of 92. She was born on October 1, 1924 in San Martino, Cosenza, Italy.
Rosa will be remembered most for her kindness, strength, patience and resiliency. She is survived by her husband, Vittorio (Victor), daughters Pamela Wilma Viola, Elina Viola, Susanna (Sue) Viola-Reczka and her son Antonio (Tony) Viola, her granddaughters Angela Viola, Alicia Gerber, Julia Viola, Nicole Schlemm, Cecilia Schlemm, Stephanie Reczka and Anne Reczka and great grandchildren Coen Viola-Schooten, Adalyn Gerber, Simon Viola-Schooten, Cole Gerber, and Max Reynen.
We are grateful to her for teaching us how to love, work hard, and care for our own families. We will miss hearing Nonna share the stories and memories of her childhood in Italy.
Funeral and Prayer Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 839 Sutherland Ave Kelowna, BC. Prayer service will be on Wednesday, March 15 at 7 p.m., Funeral on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11 a.m.
