born September 13, 1919, Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away April 26, 2008 in Kelowna, B.C. at the age of 88. Long time resident of Kelowna and formerly of Langley and Vancouver British Columbia. Predeceased by her husband William M. Mercer who passed away August 30, 1961; twin brother John Dunfield; sister Pat Rutherford and brother Neil Dunfield. Survived by six children Anne Mercer of Powell River, B.C.; Janet Mercer of Kelowna, B.C.; John Mercer (Doreen) of Langley, B.C.; Peg Mercer of Vancouver, B.C.; Heather Wheating (Bryon) of Powell River, B.C.; Robert Mercer of Kelowna, B.C.. Also survived by nine grandchildren Norah Bowman, Matthew (Saori) Wheating, Vanessa (Chris) Blake, Leah Wheating, Graham Wheating, Meghan Braem, Jennifer Braem, Jason Berger, Amber Mercer and three great-grandchildren Donavan, Camille and Hugo. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday May 10, 2008 at First United Church, 721 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, B.C., Reverend Karen Medland officiating. Cremation.
