passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 6, 2008 in Kelowna, BC. She is now reunited with her husband Bill to whom she was married for 49 years. She will be sadly missed by daughters Donna (Gordon) Peachey, Joanne (Ralph) Christian, grandchildren Paul Christian and Carrie Christian, great granddaughter Maddie, brother Eddie, sisters Fran, Mabel and Susie, and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born October 12, 1928 in Guelph, Ontario. She followed Bill out to BC in 1949, making Richmond their home for 30 years before retiring to Westbank in 1990. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, listening to music, and spending time with her family and pets. Mom was a beautiful, generous lady, and was devoted to family and home. With an indomitable spirit, she faced her lengthy illness with humour and courage. We would like to thank the staff at Douglas Fir Hospice for their care and compassion during Mom’s final days.
