PANKO - MARY (NEE RAYCHYBA)
November 19th, 1917 – April 22nd, 2014
The family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary Panko at the age of 96. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children Jeanette(Patrick) Frederick, Iris(Douglas) Worbets, Sonia(Donald) Edgecumbe, John(Carol) Panko, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, sisters Isabelle Darcovich and Stephania Bosovich. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Michael on October 7th, 1995. Mary was born in Prelate, Sask, moved to Peace River as a teen and worked with her father on the boat called the Russian Navy on the Peace River. Mary later moved to St. Michael where she met and married her husband Michael and where they raised their family. In 1980 Michael and Mary retired to Kelowna where they resided until their passings. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and Inurnment for Mary and Michael will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Edmonton at a later date.
