GAUDREAU, MAURICE JOSEPH
March 27, 1935 – August 20, 2014
Surrounded by his loving family, Maurice passed away Wednesday August 20th after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Lucille. Children Mark (Lois), Debbie Sehn, Keith (Terri) and Denise (Darrin) Paley. Also by his grandchildren Alissa (Dan) and Ryan Gaudreau, Courtney and Ashley Sehn, Connor and Cole Gaudreau and Gregory and Michael Paley. He is also survived by his sister Vivian (Lou) St. Yves and brother Denis Gaudreau. Sadly predeceased by his sister Joanne Gaudreau. He also leaves behind 2 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and treasured friends.
Maurice was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 45 years and served 4 terms as Grand Knight.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mirchandani, Dr.Watson, all of the palliative home support nurses and everyone at Hospice House for their care during Maurice’s journey.
Prayers will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 750 Rutland Road N., Kelowna, BC on Monday August 25th at 5:00 pm. A funeral service will also be held at St. Theresa’s on Tuesday August 26th at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be gratefully accepted in Maurice’s name to Central Okanagan Hospice House or the Canadian Cancer Society.
