Mona passed away suddenly January 2, 2014 at Kelowna
General Hospital. Predeceased
by her husband John, daughter Laura, son Bradley, siblings
Bill, Harriet, Connie. She is
survived by her sister Betty,
children Susan (Tom), Jeff (Dianne), Maureen and partner Mark, JoAnn (Pete), William as well as fourteen grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren. Mona was born in Brandon, Manitoba and spent years
in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Maple Ridge, BC and her last
20 years in Kelowna, BC. Mona dedicated her life to
her children and grandchildren and always lived in
close proximity to them. She will be remembered fondly
by everyone whose lives she touched with her endless generosity, continuous humor and outrageous sense
of fashion. Many thanks to staff and residents at Village
of Smith Creek for their love and friendship during Mona’s stay. Special thanks to Dr. Lewke for his exemplary care over the years. A Celebration of Life will be held in July in lieu of a Memorial Service. Please make donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
