Murray James Harrison Jan. 1, 1923 June 27, 2008 Murray passed away peacefully at Windsor Manor in the arms of his loving wife Gerry and devoted daughter Judy. He is predeceased by loving daughter Nancy, parents William and Era, sisters Pauline, Agnes, and brother George. Murray is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Geraldine Oatman; devoted daughter Judy Knutson; grandsons Louis (Kalia) and Todd (Lisa); great grandsons Harrison, Atticus and Graydon; brother-in-law Wilf (Dorothy); nephew David (Patti) and nieces Sandra, Daphne, Kellie as well as numerous other family and friends. Murray was a devoted husband and loving father to his girls, Judy and Nancy. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time at Oatmans Oasisthe little cabin he built in Tulameenwith family and friends. Murray was a veteran of WWII where he served in Belgium and England driving a heavy artillery gun carrier. He was also a member of the Peachland Legion Branch #69 and had 51 years membership with the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 170. He was a member of the Peachland United Church for 29 years. Murray will be remembered as a kind gentleman and true friend with a sense of humour and a great love for family. Murray is now free of pain in the loving arms of our Lord. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Saturday July 5, 2008 at the Peachland United Church (#4409-4th Street) with Reverend Dr. Joe Price and Lillian McLeod officiating. Interment will be at Peachland Cemetery with a tea following in the Church Hallall are welcome.
