JUNTUNEN, Paivo (Paul) born March 1, 1930 in
Joensuu, Finland passed away August 22, 2009 after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father in 1941 during WW1, daughter Sonja (1997), mother (1999) and son-in-law Eric (2002). He is survived by Mailis his wife of 61 years, daughter Sinikka, son Ken (Colleen), grandsons Sean, Kyle and Shae, and granddaughter
Sarah and relatives in Finland. After emigrating from Finland in 1951 he began his building career in Alberta and in and around Vancouver and on the Sunshine Coast until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, his pipe and a good shot of vodka. He also enjoyed watching and feeding his humming birds. Watching the eagles and their young was a favorite pastime. We would like to thank the
doctors, nurses and volunteers at the Central Okanagan Hospice House for the wonderful care he received till the end. We would also like to thank all our new friends and neighbors in Glenrosa for their support. No service by
