January 27, 1944 - December 29, 2018
It is with great sadness that family announces the passing of Patricia Spannier. She passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018. Often known as "Patti" or "Tish", she was a beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Patti is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donn; her sons Grant (Judy), Bryan (Twyla); daughter Karen (Tim); grandchildren Jesse, Lauryn, Aidan, Owen and Lily; and brother Bill Seymour.
Patti was born in Regina, SK on January 27, 1944. She completed her Nursing at Regina General Hospital. She married Donn on March 25, 1967, and they raised their children in Kelowna, BC. She enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening, bowling, reading and a Saturday night game of cards. She will be remembered for always making everyone feel welcome in the Spannier home. As her children approached adolescence, she began working full time as a nurse at the Underhill Clinic. She was loved by the staff, adored by her patients, and referred to as "Florence Nightingale." She will be deeply missed and will live in our hearts forever.
We would like to thank Dr. Cosmann, Dr. Stone and the staff at Cottonwoods and David Lloyd Jones for the exceptional care they gave to Patricia, and for the compassionate support they gave to our family.
