PATRICK BERRY July 20, 1919 – December 29, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Berry on Monday, December 29th, 2014 in his 95th year. Predeceased by his parents, James and Ann Berry of Dundee, Scotland, and his siblings Mary, Cathy, Meg and James. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jean (nee Ellacott/Wedlake), his stepchildren Susan Bray (Doug), John Ellacott (Carla), and Michael Ellacott (Dorte), several nephews in Scotland, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Patrick served as a medic in WW II before coming to Canada in 1948. Married in 1964 to Jean, he lovingly accepted her 5 children as his own. Patrick was President of the Imperial Veterans Section of the Canadian Legion for 8 years, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Dominion Canadian Legion. He recently earned his 65 year member pin. Patrick and Jean travelled all over Canada. Patrick loved his hockey and never missed a Maple Leafs game. A Celebration of Life was held at Berwick on the Park in Kamloops, BC on January 2nd, 2015. Funeral service and interment will take place at the Christchurch Anglican cemetery, Holland Landing, Ontario at a later date. Special thanks to the staff and doctors at 6North, Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops and to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, Kamloops for their special care and compassion.
