SIMPSON, PEGGY MAY
Passed away peacefully on
December 23, 2012 at the age of
92. Predeceased by her husband
Bob (2000) and her son Roy (2008). Peggy is survived by her daughter Shirley (Gerry), daughter-in-law Beth, five grandsons, one granddaughter and eleven great-grandchildren.
Peggy was born in Oxford, England, February 14th 1920. Peggy started school at the age of three and left at the age of fourteen to work at
Mowbrays, a card printing shop.
In 1942 she joined the British Army ATS division. She met her future husband Robert in Aldershot, England and was
married in Oxford. She came to Canada as an English war bride on the ship Aquitania in August of 1946. Peggy loved Canada but always had a soft spot in her heart for England. Peggy had many hobbies, sewing, knitting, oil painting,
gardening, writing and shopping! She was a loving Mom
and Nana and will be missed by all her family. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Brookhaven Care Centre. She loved her home at Brookhaven and all the staff that were so good to her. There will be no service at Peggy’s
request. Flowers are gratefully declined.
