OLLENBERGER, PETER GEORGE
Passed away peacefully in Kelowna on June 9, 2015 at the age of 78, with family by his side. “Pete” is survived
by his loving wife of 60 years, Barb; their children: Randy (Jacquie), Vicki(Roger),Judy (Dwayne), Roger
(Raelene), Karen (Mark);grandchildren: Brian, Bonnie, Mandi, Melesa, Ryan, Kayla, Amie, Breanne, Nicholas
and Emma; thirteen great-grandchildren;
siblings Ann, Gabe, Flo, Kay, Sylvia, Jean and Janice; and many other family members and friends. Peter was born May 14, 1937 in Fort St. John to George
and Elizabeth, the sixth of eleven children. Pete and Barb met and married in Dawson Creek in 1955. He was a
long-time employee of Finning Tractor. In 1969 they moved to Prince George where he worked for the Prince George School District. In 1997 they moved to Kelowna where he and Barb enjoyed a number of years in retirement.
Pete will be remembered for his love for his family, and willingness to always help family members with renovation and handyman projects. He enjoyed his leisure time activities, which through the years included carpentry,
camping, hunting and fishing. All who knew him will miss him greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Alzheimer’s Society or charity of choice.
