LEENHOUTS, PETER

Of Kelowna, BC, passed

away on September 18, 2012

of injuries sustained in a

motorcycle accident on the

Sunshine Coast.  He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Rebecca; son, Adrian; siblings, Adriana, George, Georgia,

Ken, Robert (Bob), Laura and their spouses and children.

He was predeceased by his

parents, Pieter and Adriana Leenhouts.  Peter was born on August 20, 1956, in Chatham, ON, and grew up in Wallaceburg, ON. His home for the last 27 years has been Kelowna. What he loved most in life was his family and his passion was anything with a motor –his Harley, and his Landcruiser. Peter had many exceptional

talents, with the intelligence to create and construct many unique projects. These included modified four wheelers,

motorcycles, and equipment. Many of his family and friends relied upon him to find solutions to their mechanical

dilemmas. In his business and as an employee, he had the ability to draft an idea, create it, and had the persistence

to make it work.  A memorial gathering will be held on

Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 2pm to 6pm at 8 Mile Ranch Heartland 5983 Highway 33 East, Kelowna BC, V1P 1H8. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Interior BC Chapter of the Association for Injured Motorcyclists.
