LOGAN, RITA MELANIE
September 2, 1950 – June 1, 2014
It is with broken hearts that we announce Rita Melanie Logan passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, June 1, 2014. Left to cherish her memory are her soul mate Ted Rombough; loving sons: Edward Grayston of Merritt and Daniel Grayston of Singapore and step daughter Kerri Rombough of Alberta; grandchildren: Taylor, Lance, Bryce and Triston along with her step grandchildren: Colton, Joel and Emma; sisters Lorraine Miller (Dave) of Summerland, Coleen Logan (Mendell Beaver – deceased) of Vernon, Wendy Lawrence (Les) of Vernon and brother Dwaine Logan of Vernon; mother-in-law Gladys Taillon of Gananoque, Ontario. Also left behind are her canine companions Timmy and Jerry and devoted family and friends. Pre-deceased was her mother Helen Logan of Fort St. John, father Roy Logan of Sundre, Alberta and sister Becky Rigsby of Calgary, Alberta. Rita came from humble beginnings and was determined to educate herself and create a better life for her boys. While working a full time job and raising two young boys, she added CGA to her list of accomplishments. She lived a life full of laughter, love, music and hard work. Friends and family were drawn to her vivacious personality, witty sense of humour, unprecedented decorating advice and zest for life. She golfed, curled, played cards and mah jong. She like traveling, camping, boating and gardening. She would pick up a guitar and “get a party started.” A service in celebration of her life will be held at Ellison Community Hall, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon, 4411 Old Vernon Road, Kelowna, BC.
