It is with great sadness the family of Roger Ostrom announces his passing after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's.

Roger will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Gillian (Jill), and his daughters Debbie (Doug) and Karen (Russell). He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Krista (Rodney), Ryan (Destiny), Kali and Reyce, and his great granddaughters Carmen and Kaylee.

He is survived by his sister Marilyn, nieces Carolyn, Susan, Linda, Jennifer, nephew Stephen, and their families.

Roger was predeceased by his parents, Herb and Myrtle, infant brother Earl, mother-in-law Kit King and brothers- and sister-in-law, Don Robinson, Frank Johnson and Ray & Eve King.

Born in Erickson, Manitoba, he spent his youth enjoying the rural life and summers with family in Saskatchewan. Roger proudly served our fine country in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 27 years and spent several years with Transport Canada before retiring to Kelowna in 1997. His kind heart and dry wit were adored by many.  He loved hockey, golf, curling, baseball and spending time with family and friends over a cold brew. Throughout the years the family dogs brought him great joy to walk his miles with.

At Roger's request there will be no service. In lieu of tributes, the family requests you pay a kindness unto another.

Rest in peace - we will treasure the memories always.
