RON passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the age of 73. Survived by his loving wife Inge of 50 years, his son Michael (Sharon) of Eckville, AB, his daughter Sue (Kevin) Hawkins of Lake Country, two grandchildren Jennifer and Ashley Hawkins. Ron immigrated to Canada with his wife and children in 1959 settling in Calgary. In 1972 they moved to Kelowna where he remained happily married and enjoying his orchards. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Lake Country Alliance Church, 12025 Oceola Road, Winfield with Reverend Joe Harrison officiating. Cremation.
