passed away after a lengthy illness on April 24th, 2008 in his hometown of Westbank B.C., surrounded by family. Born July 20th, 1930 in Coronation, Alberta, Ron grew up in Tranquille, B.C. before moving to the Lower Mainland, Kelowna and finally Westbank. After graduating with a BSc in Agriculture at UBC, he worked for the Veterans Land Administration and then the Farm Credit Corporation where he remained until he retired. Rons focus was his family and farm where he farmed sheep and horses. He is predeceased by his first wife Evelyn Grace (Attwood) in 1974. Ron is survived by his loving wife Kate, brother Gordon (Margaret), sister Joyce (Jake), children Heather (Steve), Steve (Marion), Jennifer (Ben), Nicky (Adam) and Tom, as well as grandchildren Gordon, Emma and Eryn. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Rons life on Thursday June 12th, 2008 in Westbank.
