of Westbank, BC passed away August 15, 2008 in the Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 85 years. Rose is lovingly remembered by her 3 children, Shirley (Ernie) Hansen, Larry (Carol) Kilback and Joanne (Audie) Vandenborn, all of Westbank; 9 grandchildren, Terry, Tim, Sandy, Dean, Kim, P.J., Nick, Jenn and Anthony; 10 great grandchildren, Ashley, Braeden, Karis, Rustin, Andrew, Alicia, Maykala, Emily, Christian and Stacie; 1 sister, Ruby (George) Russell of Kelowna, as well as her special friend Keith Burgess of Richmond. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1985, and her 2 sisters, Thelma and Helen. Rose always had a smile on her face and will be remembered for her good-natured personality. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Vandenborn residence, 3440 Paynter Road, Westbank, on Friday August 22 at 3:00pm, officiated by Lillian McLeod, with a reception to follow. A private interment will take place at the Gellatly Heritage Cemetery in Westbank.
