Elmer was born October 22, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2018 at the age of 92.
Survived by his loving family, sons: Allan (Sharon) Lebsack of Kelowna, BC, Vern (Nancy) Lebsack of Sherwood Park, AB, Warren (Dawn) Lebsack of Medicine Hat, AB; grandchildren: Michelle Graham, Leanne Lebsack, Kevin Lebsack, Karen Nypuik, Tim Lebsack, Laura Lebsack, Darren Lebsack, Jeff Lebsack, Stacey Jans, Stephen Lebsack, Tyson Lebsack, Josh Lebsack; numerous great grandchildren and his sister Doris Adler of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Predeceased by his wife Freda Lebsack; parents Conrad and Katherine Lebsack; brothers: Victor, Edward, Irvine and sister Helen Gray.
Elmer was born and raised on his father's farm east of Champion, Alberta. At the age of 18, he was drafted into the Canadian Armed Forces and served for two years. He met and married Freda Becker, they started a farm and raised their three sons. After 24 years of farming, Elmer relocated to Calgary, followed by a move to Kelowna in the early 90's, where he enjoyed market gardening. He was a long-time member of Trinity Church and enjoyed helping where needed. Elmer later moved to the Village of Mill Creek and resided there until his passing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 30th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment will take place in Vulcan, Alberta at a later date. Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
