HLUSHAK, RUSSELL LAURENCE
May 22,1930 - August 6, 2014
On August 6th, 2014, at the
age of 84 years, Russell's
heart stopped beating, leaving
to mourn his loss his loving
wife Anne, sister Virginia
(Michael) Ursulak and brother
Peter (Emmeline) Hlushak.
As well, he leaves many
nephews and nieces, great
nephews, a great niece and a
great great niece. He was
predeceased by his parents
Peter and Eva Hlushak, brothers Arthur (Gladys) Hlushak, Amil(Betty Anne) Hlushak and Clarence Hlushak, and
half-sister Olga (Michael) Ferens. Russell was a certified pipefitter, welder and plumber, working in Port Radium, NWT, Eastern and Western U.S. and finally at the Fort McMurray Oil Sands. He will be remembered for the quality of his work, his motto being that there was only one way to do any job - The Right Way. He will also be
remembered for his willingness to offer assistance
whenever required, even without being asked. Special thanks to the KGH 5th Floor Unit D doctors, nurses
and aides for the wonderful care provided. At Russell's
request, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice. Cremation with Private interment taking place at a later date. Arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services, (250) 860-6440. Condolences may be sent to the
