November 21, 1973 October 13, 2008. Our Shane began his new journey on Thanksgiving Day. He is survived by his two moms and best friends, Beverly MacLeod and Shirley Wray of Kelowna. Shane requested no fanfare on his departure as he believed death was nothing at all, for he slipped into the next room. Whatever you were to each other, you are still. Wear no forced air of sorrow, Laugh as you always did at the jokes you enjoyed together, Play, smile and think of him, Let his name be the household word that it always was, Let it be spoken without a trace of shadow, Life means all that it ever meant, It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity, Let him not be out of mind because he is out of sight, He is waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, Just around the corner, All is well. Shane is survived by a large loving family and an abundance of friends. Please celebrate his life in whichever manner you choose. Shirl and Bev would like to thank Dr. Mike Banwell and the Palliative Care Team for their help and kindness during our sons difficult days.
