Stanley passed away at his home in Agassiz, BC. He had been struggling with some medical issues, but still tried to make the best of it.

Stan was born in Souris Manitoba, and grew up on the family farm along with 7 brothers and 2 sisters. After graduating from high school Stan moved to B.C. He worked in the orchards in the Okanagan to start. He then worked as a faller in various areas of the province.

In later years he worked for the highways out of Prince George and then moved to Oyama. Kelowna was his next stop, where he spent most of his retirement. During this time Stan taught line dancing to a group of "Lovely Ladies" and made it to a championship competition in Nashville. This was one of his great loves along with country music and his passion for the Blue Jays.

He was predeceased by his daughter Laurie Carlyle.

Survived by daughter Leah (Ricardo) Ortega, son Craig (Cathy & 3 grandchildren), a granddaughter Adrianne (Jessy) Bourgeois & 2 great grandsons, also a sister Lucy Gramchuck and sister-in-law Helen, and many nieces and nephews, along with an extended family Aileen & Charlene Snow that will miss him.

Special thanks to Dr. Sean Young, also Jane - along with the staff at Cheam Residences, for the care they gave to Stan.

There will be no service.
