STEPHEN Marcyniuk passed away peacefully on June 16th at Sun Pointe Village in Rutland at the age of 96. He was predeceased by his wife, Sadie (2005) and son William (1950) also brothers; Nick, Fred, Bill, Metro, Paul and sisters Annie & Mary. He will be sadly missed by his children: Art (Barbara) of Kamloops, George (Mary) of Victoria, Joan (Neil) of Abbotsford & Ray (Linda) of Maple Ridge, also his 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Dad was born in Vita, MB in 1912. He lived and worked in Dallas, MB, on the farm, until he met and married Sadie, his wife of 62 years. They moved to Hodgson, MB and ran the hotel until they decided to raise their family in Winnipeg, moving there in 1953. Once their children were married they decided to escape the harsh winters and retire in Kelowna, where Dad enjoyed the best 36 years of his life. His garden on Wilkinsen St.was a labour of love where he spent countless hours tending to all the fruits and vegetables he grew, giving most of it away to family and friends. Dad enjoyed bowling, fishing and the seniors dances until his late 80s and played crib, usually winning, almost until his death. Family meant everything to him. He was very proud of his children and especially enjoyed visits with his grand children and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all.
