Rev. Susan MacGregor (maiden name: Seymour) b. July 24, 1942 - London, Ontario; d. May 19, 2018 - Kelowna, BC.
Born in London Ontario, Sue grew up with an interest in justice and helping others. After being ordained in the mid 1960's, Sue's first charges were in rural Saskatchewan. After a couple of years, Sue returned home to Ontario and served on various charges in her home province. In 1976, Sue married Allister MacGregor. After serving as an interim minister on charges in Elgin County, Ontario, in 1986, Sue and family moved to Lake Country, BC. There, she would serve as full-time minister for Winfield United Church until her retirement in 2002.
After her retirement from the full- time ministry, Sue would fill-in on occasion when called upon. She also grew in her appreciation of birds and the natural world. After battles with cancer in recent years, Sue passed away peacefully in Kelowna General Hospital in the early hours of May 19th, 2018.
Survived by loving son, James, Sue will always be remembered for her persistence in pursuing Justice, her interest in our natural environment and commitment to help those in the communities where she served.
A luncheon in remembrance of Sue will be held at Winfield United Church on June 23 at 11:30 a.m
