EMBLETON, Urban Burns passed away on September 22, 2016 at the age of 97 years. Urban was predeceased by his first wife Gladys Embleton; daughters Pauline (Miles) Bell; June Charlesworth grandson Michael Embleton and
son-in-law Victor Frank; second wife Elizabeth Wolfe (Embleton); step daughter Martha and step son Ron.
He is survived by his children Dorothy Frank, Curt (Jan) Embleton and Sandy (Dave) Kozak; fifteen grandchildren
and numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, step daughters Violet, Diedre, Betty and families. A Memorial Service will be held at Rutland
Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 130 Gerstmar Road on Sunday, October 23, at 3:00 pm. Inurnment will take place on Monday, October 24th at 10:00 am at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Urban’s name to the Alzheimer Society of BC, #307-1664 Richter Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 8N3 would be appreciated.
