Lysiak, Vera

Vera was born in the Ukraine and came to Canada in 1938. She and her husband Stan lived in Alberta until 1975 when they moved to Kelowna where they enjoyed good friends and many good times in the Okanagan. In later years Vera experienced declining health and passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Kelowna General Hospital with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Predeceased by her husband Stan, she is survived by her son Brian, daughter Karen(Bruce), much loved grandchildren Matthew(Courtney) and Julia(Kristof), brothers John(Joan) and Peter(Donna), sisters Gloria and Monica and many nieces and nephews who she cared about. At Vera's request there will not be a formal service. Thank you to the staff who cared for mom for 5 years at Mountainview Village. Thank you to the paramedics and the medical staff at Kelowna General Hospital for their care. Mom, we will always remember you, your kindness and your cheerful smile. Rest in Peace.
