HEIDEL - Verlie Irene
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Verlie Heidel on Sunday, September 6th, 2009 at the age of 77.
Following 3 long weeks of sickness our mother is now at peace. She will be fondly remembered by her children: Myrna Rotvold (Gary), Eva Heidel (Edgar), Ken Heidel (Maryann), Gary Heidel and JoAnn Heidel (Glenn). Verlie Heidel leaves behind 13 loving grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, many, many long and short time friends.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to the caregivers at Smith Creek (where mom spent her last 2 years) for the loving care they provided for her through her good times and bad.
Being there with our mother, we felt the staff cared for mom as they would have their own. Mom loved them all dearly and always tried to have a smile for them.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Reece Unit at Village of Smith Creek Care Center.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Civic Centre in Canal Flats, BC on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
On the return to Kelowna, a service will be held at the Village of Smith Creek, 2425 Orlin Road, Westbank, BC on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at 2:00 pm.
