Viktor Gert of West Kelowna, BC passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. He is survived by his wife Brigitta, son Viktor Alexander 'VJ' Gert, granddaughters Kyra and Avery Gert, brothers Bruno (Carole) and Waldermar 'Wally' (Pat) as well as nieces and nephew.
Viktor was born on January 15, 1939, in Sofiika, Ukraine. He married Brigitta or 'Gitti' as he lovingly called her, on July 25, 1964. Viktor was a great husband and father. He loved to travel and saw 22 countries, enjoyed playing underwater hockey, scuba diving, skiing, and loved sailing.
Even though Viktor is no longer with us, his love for his family, humour, work ethic, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. He will be greatly missed.
