CARON, WILFRID PIERRE CLEMENT
On July 24, 2014, ‘Willie’ died peacefully at the Village at Smith Creek. He is survived by his beloved wife Janet Caron, his stepchildren, Heather Mitchell, Graham McFarlane and their children, grandchildren as well as his nieces and nephews; Clement, Theodore, Soulange and Rita. Willie was born in Sainte Martin de Beauce County, Quebec on June 19, 1919. Willie lived first in Mansonville, QC, before moving to Montreal at the age of 13. After marrying Janet McFarlane in 1976, they retired to the Okanagan Valley in 1988. He will be remembered for his ability to entertain his family, friends and residents of care facilities in the Okanagan by playing his piano. Although largely self taught, his love of this instrument and his natural talent enriched the lives of hundreds. He will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the Village at Smith Creek, 2425 Orlin Rd., West Kelowna, BC.
