SHEMLEY - WILLIAM (BILL) May 12, 1933 - Sept 7, 2009
It is with profound saddness that we announce the
passing of our beloved father, grandfather, uncle & friend William (Bill) Shemley on Sept 7, 2009 at the age of 76. Bill is survived by his loving family, children Doug (Teresa), Debbie Wilkison (Terry), Don (Donna) daughter-in-law Shawna; Grandchildren Daniel, Brydon, Jonathon, Stephen and Megan. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Patricia Cole (Larry) and Doreen Shemley, nieces, nephews & many good friends. Bill was sadly predeceased by his beloved son Chad in 2008, his first wife Dorothy Joan in 1962, his brother John and parents Mitchell & Irene Shemley. Bill moved the family to Kelowna in 1970 and throughout the past 39 years was involved in many community activities
including Major Mens Fastball, the Kelowna Regatta and he was considered the Grand-dad of the fiberglass industry. A celebration of Bill's life will be held Sat, Sept 12, 2009, 1 pm at Springfield Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kelowna Hospice Society.
