Jake Romphf

I'm Jake, a proud graduate of Carleton University. In early 2021, I made the move from the Great Lakes to Greater Victoria with the aim of experiencing more of the country I report on. My upbringing was in a small town that was surrounded by petrochemical refineries and industrial plants. This background ignited a strong passion within me for addressing environmental concerns, sustainability, and wildlife conservation.

Alongside my environmental interests, I'm also enthusiastic about covering sports, politics, and diving into anything new or obscure that catches my attention. My goal as a journalist is to bring attention to a wide array of topics that matter, and I'm excited to continue this journey in Greater Victoria.
